Thomas Smith
Tom’s working experience started with main frame computers at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center during Apollo 9 through 15. He was a computer programmer with the STADAN Tracking Network which was the central “switch” for communication links between all manned and un-manned space vehicles and all earth-bound stations.
After NASA, he worked on data file structures for several US Government departments, including Labor, Justice and Defense. He used his Data Structure expertise to develop communication software packages which were marketed to US Congressmen and Senators as a means to respond to their increasing amounts of constituent mail. He created the first computer generated Federal Elections Commission campaign donation accounting system. He was also on the development team for the design and creation of a multi-event / multi-venue ticketing system which has developed into what is now called Ticketmaster.
As a vocation, Thomas started flight training in 1970 and worked his way up to ATP with over 3,000 hours. He holds CFI, MEI, and CFII certificates.
In 1984, Tom started a full service direct marketing production company / advertising agency. He expanded his Marketing expertise by going to the University of Missouri, Kansas City and taking a post graduate course and achieving his Professional Direct Marketer certification.
Mr. Smith created and volunteered for a small 501c3 company which generates funds to support scholarship programs for poor children in 3rd world countries. He started in Brazil, and expanded into South Africa before turning it over to volunteers in the regions.
Since 2005, Thomas is a Vice President of EON Reality, specializing in the use of Interactive 3D Virtual Reality content management systems. His specialty is in the field of aerospace, working with organizations such as Honeywell and The Boeing Co.
